"MISFIT...The Soundtrack"

I'm excited to announce that my 1st book, "MISFIT...Dealing with our God given discomfort" came out last week internationally through Zondervan.

I can't wait to see what God does through this book. I'm also excited to announce that next tuesday, May 17th "MISFIT The Soundtrack" will be released to accompany the experience.

The soundtrack was masterfully pieced together to capture the various expressions of the misfit movement by some of the greatest artists & worship leaders alive. Here's the track listing;

The Leader i could be...

I read a blog post today "The Leader I don't want to be..." by my good friend Chad Veach, as soon as i read the article it resonated w/ me & brought conviction to me immediately.

I know I have been guilty of being an "INCONSISTENT, EXAGGERATING, SELF-PROMOTING, THINK I CAN DO IT ON MY OWN, MAKING MOUNTAINS OUT OF MOLE HILLS" type of LEADER. I need to change & keep that foolish side of me in check.

I'm sorry to anyone that has seen this side of me.

Its hard to realize that you can easily become the very thing you despise but the first step in change is admitting it, right?

So here i go.

This video was shot live at YOUTH EXPLOSION: "MISFITS GO WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE!" live back in March 09'. That was an incredible night! I love our team & i love this song! Enjoy!!!

UNCOMFORTABLE - MARCH 26th

As MISFITS there are things in this world that make us UNCOMFORTABLE, but we don't want to REMAIN uncomfortable, we want to do something about it! NEXT FRIDAY March 26th, We changed the location of our 1st Youth Explosion of the year. We, YOUTH EXPLOSION partnered up w/ ICF & GOD BELONGS IN MY CITY to deal w/ some of the things that make us UNCOMFORTABLE! ON Friday, March 26th from 4pm-6pm we will meet in front of Christ Tabernacle (64-34 Myrtle Ave, Glendale NY 11385) & march thru Queens & Brooklyn in a SILENT PROTEST. We want to raise awareness about "Gang Violence" and let the GANGS know that were uncomfortable with THEIR ACTIVITIES. Were not only praying for them to disarm but also for them to give their LIVE ON OVER TO GOD!

Then after that we will be "Christ The King" High School for a "Students vs Celebrities" Basket Ball GAME! FREE ENTRY. We have 2 Students from Youth Explosion, Christ The King, Grover Cleveland High School, Bush-wick High School, GOD BELONGS IN MY CITY & Faith Fellowship in New Jersey playing against some Celebrities like: DAVID TYREE, JOUMANNA KIDD, DARCY JOHNSON, TJ KIDD, ED LOVER JUST TO NAME A FEW.

Come through w/ your Youth Group, High school, Junior High School or Family for a GREAT GAME!

YOUTH EXPLOSION IS OWNING THE HALF TIME SHOW...WE HAD TO MAKE SURE WE BROUGHT SOME HIPHOP - POETRY - DANCE & SO MUCH MORE!

All this is happening on Friday MARCH 26th BUT YE will be tagging along w/ ICF as we prepare to go into 50 - 60 DIFFERENT High Schools IN NY, Hosting their SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES that whole week leading up the the "God Belongs In My City March" & CELEBRITY BASKET BALL GAME. WE WILL BE IN THE HIGH-SCHOOLS EVER DAY THAT WEEK STARTING MONDAY MARCH 22ND - FRIDAY MARCH 26TH . In these ASSEMBLIES there will be different Pro - Athletes from the NBA, NFL & OLYMPICS presenting to the STUDENTS all their DISCOMFORTS. These Athletes will be talking about all the things in this world that make them UNCOMFORTABLE such as TEENAGE PREGNANCY, EDUCATION, GANG VIOLENCE, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE & SO MUCH MORE!

WE DONT WANT TO BE UNCOMFORTABLE FOR THE SAKE OF BEING UNCOMFORTABLE, WE WANT TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
